Deck Building

In a Sealed Deck tournament, each player gets a set of about 90 randomly distributed cards, sealed in tournament boxes and/or booster packs.

Once every player has received their un-opened cards, a 25 minute clock starts for all contestants to build a forty card deck.

During this time each player needs to open their booster packs, determine which cards they want to play, determine the type and quantity of lands, and play-test/tune the deck for competition.

This page presents activities similar to those of a "Sealed Deck" Pre-Release tournament.

Activity

Do the following within 25 minutes:

1st - Open the booster packs and choose 23 cards for a deck.

2nd - Add seventeen lands to make a 40 card deck.

3rd - Play-test a few starting hands.

4th - Make any card changes.

NOTES:
Non-basic Lands can be added to the deck after the 23 spell cards are chosen.
This version of the simulator requires 23 spells and 17 lands
To save a deck, copy the card and land arrays from the dialog box to a text file.
To restore a deck, paste the saved arrays into the dialog box.
